IMG_6550Are you ready to take your volleyball skills to the next level?  Here at The Center For Athletic Performance and Physical Therapy we can help you get faster, stronger, and more explosive on the court.
The physical demands of volleyball are unique and our philosophies are set to match the demands of the sport. All of our programs are designed to integrate injury prevention, functional movement and sports specific performance training.
What sets great volleyball players apart from the rest? It’s the combination of strength, speed/conditioning, power and agility. Strength will help improve your hitting, spiking and serving. Speed and conditioning will help you to accelerate the ball faster. If it’s on a hitter’s approach or from a defensive position, you’ll be able to get to that dig quicker. Improved power will heighten your jumps and help coordinate those strengthened hits. And improved agility aided with movement techniques will help for a quicker first step targeting stability and balance.

It is essential to develop overall body performance for volleyball players since the conversion of power is generated from the feet to the legs and lower extremities all the way up through the torso and utilizing the strength of the upper extremities such as the shoulders. Athletes need to maximize a full range of motion to be successful during any game situation.
