Tom Bratcher, Founder, PT, SCS
Tom has 25 years of experience working with athletes of all ages and abilities. He is Board Certified as a Sports Physical Therapist(SCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association, is dry needling and ASTYM certified. He has served as an adjunct professor at NAU in the Physical Therapy Department at Phoenix Biomedical Campus.
He is a former soccer player himself, is a USSF National B Licensed coach, and now enjoys running marathons and half marathons. His biggest accomplishments off the soccer field or physical therapy setting are “Being the best father I can” and qualifying and running in the Boston Marathon.
He has a wife, Tonya, a daughter, Talia, and twin sons, Keegan and Lleyton.
Currently, he serves as the Physical Therapist for Phoenix Rising(USL). He has consulted with DC United(MLS), and was the Physical Therapist for Arizona United(USL). In the past, has worked with teams including KC Chiefs, KC Royals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State University, Phoenix Roadrunners, Arizona Sandsharks(CISL), and Arizona Thunder(WISL).
Donald Jupp, BS, MA, CSCS, Director of Sports Performance
Don is the Director of Sports Performance for all current and future locations for the Center for Athletic Performance & Physical Therapy. He earned his BS in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University and his Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Lindenwood University. Over the course of his career Don has had the pleasure to work with some of the best athletes in the world. He has personally designed and implemented training programs for dozens of MLB, MLS, NHL, NFL and Olympic athletes. He enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities and believes in the saying “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.
While in college, Don was an All-Conference swimmer and NSCA All-American at Ohio University. Beginning his career as a walk-on and leaving as a 5-time team record holder he believes it was his hard work in and out of the pool that made him successful. Overcoming multiple knee reconstructions, he saw personally how strength and conditioning helped him reach his goals. He believes nothing is impossible and that you should set your goals high and not be afraid to fail.
In his free time, Don enjoys hiking, swimming, biking and spending time with his fiancée, Jaclyn, and dog, Walter.
Katrina Wilson, Director of Front Office Operations
Katrina began working at the Center in 2007 and serves as the Director of Front Office Operations for all current and future locations for the Center for Athletic Performance & Physical Therapy. She has over 12 years of experience as a medical administrative assistant combined in Liver Transplant, Reproductive Endocrinology and Physical Therapy. She was born and raised in Oregon and in 2005 relocated to Arizona to be closer to family. She has a sweet and sassy 6-year-old girl and in her free time she likes to cook for her family, hike, spend time with her niece and nephew, Zumba, dine out with friends and shop.
Tonya Bratcher, Director of Administration, Massage Therapist
Tonya has been at the Center for the past 7 years. She has worked in healthcare administration for the past 13 years, with the first 6 in pediatrics. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s in Business Management. She has been a practicing licensed massage therapist for the past 12 years and specializes in medical/sports massage therapy. Tonya grew up in Colorado and moved to Arizona in 2001. She loves being a mommy to her 4-year-old daughter, Talia, and 19-month-old twin boys, Keegan and Lleyton, and spending every extra moment she has with them. Family and traditions are the most important to her and in her free time, she enjoys running half and full marathons. She is happy and proud of what the Center has grown into over the past years she’s been with the company.
Joalice Ryan, MOTR/L, CHT, WCC, Director of Hand Therapy
Joalice is our Hand Therapist for our Scottsdale and Cave Creek locations. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with her Bachelor of Science degree in 1996, and in 1998, she graduated from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. Joalice has been practicing hand therapy for over 15 years and ran her own clinic in Illinois for six years. She is an expert in splinting and one of few hand specialists to have a national board certification in wound care. She decided to move to Arizona with her family in November 2014 to get away from the cold and to allow herself to spend more time with her 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter and be involved in all of their activities. In her free time she enjoys hiking, running and recently her and her husband of 17 years purchased quads and dirt bikes to head into the mountains with their family. She loves sunshine, traveling and camping, and of course Scottsdale has encouraged her shopping habits!
