This September, we’ve selected Taylor Culver, captain of the SC del Sol ECNL ’99 soccer team, as our Athlete of the Month. Taylor was nominated by her coach, Tommy McNaughton, because of her hard work and dedication on and off the field.
“Taylor has demonstrated a fantastic work rate so far this season, her training performances have been superb and exactly what we expect of an ECNL player and captain,” McNaughton said. “Taylor’s attitude and desire to improve is brilliant to see and sets her up for great success in the future. Keep working hard Taylor!”
Taylor is 15 years old and has been playing soccer for the past eight years. She’s been with SC del Sol for the past three years and made Notre Dame Preparatory High School’s varsity soccer team as a freshman. During this past year, she was the top scoring forward in the 2014 High School, Division 2 – Section 1 tournament.
Taylor and her SC del Sol team train at the Center with Don Jupp and Josh Petchel. She has also received physical therapy with Tom Bratcher for an injury to her lower leg.
Taylor said her best memory playing soccer so far was going to nationals this year in Seattle with SC del Sol. She also said she would love to play in college and professionally if she got the chance.
She wants to be a psychologist or an athletic trainer when she gets older and said her favorite soccer player is Sydney Leroux.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys listening to music, reading, hanging out with friends and going out to eat.
We are still open and providing in-clinic service at a case-by-case basis as well as providing telemedicine and other channels for remote treatment/training. Call your nearest Center location for more details.
